Healing in scripture is broader than medicine. The same Hebrew and Greek words cover bodies, minds, relationships and nations, which is why a psalm about binding up wounds sits beside one about forgiving iniquity without changing subject.
The passages here are worth reading honestly. Some are promises; some are prayers that may or may not have been answered as asked. James instructs the sick to call for prayer and confession together, treating the two as connected. Jeremiah's line is a request, not a guarantee — heal me, and I shall be healed — and it is phrased that way on purpose.
Paul is the necessary counterweight. He prayed three times for a physical affliction to be removed and it was not. Any honest page about healing has to hold both: people healed, and people faithful without being healed.

La sanidad en la Escritura es más amplia que la medicina. Las mismas palabras hebreas y griegas cubren cuerpos, mentes, relaciones y naciones; por eso un salmo sobre vendar heridas está junto a otro sobre perdonar iniquidades sin cambiar de tema.
Estos pasajes merecen una lectura honesta. Algunos son promesas; otros son oraciones que pudieron o no ser respondidas como se pidió. Santiago manda al enfermo llamar a la oración y a la confesión juntas, tratándolas como algo unido. La frase de Jeremías es una petición, no una garantía — sáname y seré sano — y está redactada así a propósito.
Pablo es el contrapeso necesario. Oró tres veces para que le quitaran una aflicción física y no se la quitaron. Cualquier página honesta sobre la sanidad tiene que sostener las dos cosas: gente sanada, y gente fiel sin ser sanada.
